BE SURE TO SEE THE TOUR FOR 360° PHOTOS. One of the original show places of elegant Federal Heights, 26 South Wolcott remains an outstanding example of early 1900's Italian Renaissance architecture. Construction began in 1911 and it took European artisans more than 5 years to complete this magnificent home. Its architect, Frank Winder Moore, one of the most important Utah architects of that time, was given a high degree of artistic freedom in appointing the interior details of the home. The built in bookcases, china closets, and many of the windows of the home contain original wavy cylinder glass. The original bar of the home, adjacent to the billiard room, remains intact and exactly as it was built, with mahogany paneling, leaded glass, a brass foot rail, the original sinks, faucets, and metal lined ice boxes. The large master bedroom includes its own dressing room with a sink and mirrored built in armoire. An energy efficient boiler, as well as an energy efficient forced air furnace have recently been installed in this home. The roof was replaced in 2007 using Bartile to match the original red tile roof. Tiles have a 75 year warranty. In keeping with the historical importance of this residence the majo
